History

1981

Bernhard Meder founded a Sales and Repair Service for Radio and Communication systems.

1985

Transformed into MEDER electronic GmbH where new products for the communication industry were developed. National and international approvals were achieved.

1986

Relocated to the new company building in Singen.
Founded the subsidiary MEDER electronic AG in Switzerland.

1987

Acquired Reed Relay producer ESF Weidner.

1988

Began manufacturing Reed Relays in the Singen manufacturing plant.

1991

Founded the subsidiary MEDER electronic CZ in Prague as a second manufacturing plant and sales office for the Eastern European market.

1993

Founded the subsidiary MEDER Reed GmbH in Großbreitenbach/Thüringen as a manufacturing plant for our molded Reed Relays and Reed Sensors.
Achieved DIN EN ISO 9001 certification.

1995

Acquired ELFEIN GmbH in Frankfurt/Main for the purpose of completing our range of products with Reed Relays for special applications, Opto-Couplers and Precision Wirewound Resistors.

1996

Founded the subsidiary MEDER Werkzeugbau GmbH in Großbreitenbach/Thüringen to cover the demand for highly specified tooling coming from our own factory but also to enlarge our capacity for high quality tooling for our customers.

1997

Expanded the manufacturing Singen plant by 400 m2.
Founded the US Sales Office MEDER electronic Inc. in Taftville (CT).

1998

Merged the ELFEIN GmbH with the MEDER Reed GmbH into MEDER electronic GmbH.

1999

Founded the Italian Sales Office MEDER electronic srl. at Trezzo SullâßßAdda (MI).
Transformed MEDER electronic GmbH into MEDER electronic AG.
Founded the Asian Sales Office MEDER electronic Asia Ltd. at Hong Kong.
Relocated the US Sales Office, MEDER electronic Inc., to Mashpee, MA.

2000

QS 9000 certified in March.

2002

2003

Founded the French Sales Office MEDER electronic SARL in Villejust near Paris.

2005

Began manufacturing worldwide smallest RF-Reed Relays.

2006

MEDER celebrates her 25 Years company anniversary.

Founded the Sales Office MEDER electronic UK.

2007

Completion of the expanded part of the Headquarter in Singen for administration, selection and manufacture for reed switches and the distributing center.

Etablished Joint-Venture with long-standing subcontractor at Shanghai: MEDER-GHL electronic (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.

2008

Centralization of Customer Center in Engen-Welschingen with manufacture in Singen.

2010

Integration of European sales offices and MEDER GmBH Grossbreitenbach into MEDER electronic AG, Singen.

Establishing the MEDER Group in three competence centers: Europe, USA and Asia.

2012

Global market expansion through company merger with the market-listed Standex Electronics. The two companies operate together as Standex-Meder Electronics.
